In an arcade machine, the most important part is the arcade wood or arcade cabinet. It serves as a protector, for both the machine and it’s inner workings. These include: wires, monitors, and speakers.

Without the arcade cabinet, the arcade could break easily and appear disorganized due to the wiring needed. Exposed wires are potentially hazardous to a player and could catch fire if not properly installed and maintained.

When making an arcade cabinet, having a good blueprint is a must as a good starting point for this project. You need to know the measurement/dimensions of your machine so the cabinet will fit perfectly.

The design shape and artwork should be related to the game you want to put on the device. The more attractive the design and artwork, the more likelihood that you will get a player’s attention.

Be sure that you use the best wood when constructing the cabinet. You want the arcade to last for many years and to be very durable. You want to be sure the wood is free of splinters and sharp edges. Nothing should snag or poke the players.

One of the essential parts of the cabinet is the control panel. It must be strong enough to withstand the jostling and pounding of even the most excited players.
